Role in filming

We filmed on these cameras:

Dji Mavic Pro platinum

Iphone XR

We decided to film in 4k resolution as it allowed us to be able to manipulate our clips in terms of colour grading and frame rate. During the early editing process we decided to downgrade all or our frame rates to 30fps as some were 60fps.

When filming we alternated our roles in order to get a rounded selection of shots and techniques. For example, in our first scene which is the morning routine, I decided that we should have an establishing shot of the house which connotes that Maddie is wealthy and independent. This is essential for context to the audience. During the morning routine Red, Marcus and I all added different shots we thought would make up a morning routine. We changed the order of shots as it was unrealistic to show her brushing her teeth before breakfast. We also wanted to show her waking up and getting dressed. Throughout this sequence we all filmed to get a wider range of different shots. We added small clips to try and get some establishing B-roll. 

During the editing process these will be our roles: 

Red will be leading the transitions and colour grading

Marcus will be ensuring our posts are up to date and the music

Jasper will be overall managing it all and assisting red with the editing
